Segmental Pavers

Segmental Pavers design and build paved surfaces using individual units such as concrete pavers, cobblestones, terracotta tiles, and bricks. They plan the layout pattern, discuss design and drainage needs with clients or supervisors, and decide on the right base layers and edge restraints to keep the surface stable over time. On the job, they prepare and compact the soil, spread and level bedding sand, cut pavers to size with masonry saws and splitters, set and align each unit, and use plate compactors and jointing sand to lock everything tightly in place.
